I want to be able to store copy of all emails (inbox,sent, draft,folders...etc) in a certain folder on (shared web host) as I don't want to rely only on the original emails on main mail server of the host company.

Exactly same way as pop3 Synchronization works on MS outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird or on GMAIL. The client download copy of emails from the main server and store those emails in the local hard drive of the computer or server and you can always access those emails at anytime without the need to make the script read old emails from the mail server.

So, I have read somewhere that your script has the function to store mails on "filesystem" where it download all email messages from the mail servers and store them in the "DATA" folder of afterlogic webmail directory!

Can you please explain how to get this to work as this is very important to me.

(Part B)
I want mobile and other email clients like MS outlook on computer to Sync from afterlogic webmail "filesystem" and NOT from the main mail server of hosting company.

So the idea is like this:

Host Mail server --> Afterlogic email client (store mails copy) --> mobile or pc email clients sync from afterlogic stored mails.


I don't know if what I want is possible or not!

Current version of AfterLogic WebMail (PHP) does not store messages locally, it works with those on mail server directly. Thus, though the idea sounds interesting, it cannot be implemented in terms of our product.

I guess that I will need to backup the "MAIL" folder at all times on the main hosting directory.

Is there android app that will work with your php script to sync emails, something similar to Gmail app!

I don't like to use the standard android email app as it doesn't has the thread (group conversation) function! so I was wondering if there is an app that support that function.
