Hi,
Is there an option to set Webmail Lite (7.5.0) to be autheticated using username instead the full email address ?
Perhaps in SETTINGS.XML ?

The problem using email address instead username happens when i try to send a message from Webmail Lite panel; i noticed that, to authenticate over my SMPT server, the application use <email address>/password instead <username>/password, so the autentication fails because my MTA need SMTP auth. only by username.

So, now i correctly receive mail but (because of this problem) i'm unable to send mail.

I saw the plugin "Change_email-to-username_mapping_on_login"(http://www.afterlogic.com/wiki/Change_email-to-username_mapping_on_login_(WebMail_Plugins)?WM=Lite), that perhaps can solve my problem ...

Hi Alex,

There are indeed a couple of setting which can do what you're interested in, please see this documentation page.

While the plugin may also work for your needs, I believe the configuration options mentioned above would be sufficient in the typical case.

I adjusted the settings as you have recommended, now the user logon is done using only username instead email address.
