Maybe your IP address is blocked by Microsoft so they don't allow your location to view docs using their cloud..

Alex

You can read more about viewing Microsoft documents online here
https://blogs.office.com/2013/04/10/office-web-viewer-view-office-documents-in-a-browser/. The most important thing about it is
"Note: ... the document must be publicly accessible on the internet. "
So if your installation of WebMail is not accessible on the internet this feature will not work. You can disable it following the instructions on the link http://www.afterlogic.com/wiki/How_to_disable_viewing_Microsoft_Office_documents_(WebMail)

Hi Alex,
on website: http://officewebviewer.com
I generate url: https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/view.aspx?src=

I add src on my test document for example: https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/view.aspx?src=www.my-domain.cz/test.doc

The document is displayed without issue.
So the problem is not blocking IP addresses by Microsoft.

From webmail same documents not appear. Displays error, which I mentioned at the beginning

Hi,

You can debug this by checking the URL of IFRAME (in Chrome debug tools, for instance).

The source code of the tab which shows the doc is something like:

...<iframe style="height: 100%; width: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0; border: 0" src="https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/view.aspx?src=https%3A%2F%2Fwebmail.afterlogic.com%2F%3F%2FRaw%2FView%2F280%2Fsyp2SYLkz52_and_the_rest_url_encoded_URL"></iframe>...

You'll find the URL which is opened in IFRAME. Try to open it in separate tab. If it does not work, url-decode (such as with online tools), the contents of src parameter of src parameter. It's not a typo, there is indeed src paremeter holding another src parameter within. You'll get the URL which is passed to MS cloud. Can you open it? What happens? Can you open it from an external network?

Regards,
Alex

Hi,
I use firebug on firefox:
I replaced my real domain hereby: my-domain.cz

<html style="height: 100%; width: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0">
<head></head>
<body style="height: 100%; width: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0">

Hi,

"It does not load" - can you provide more details on that? E.g. "I'm getting the error code XYZ and error message ABC from live.com server", etc.

Also, what about the second part? Can you open the URL in src's inner src after urldecoding it? If can't, what is the error message/code?

Regards,
Alex

I see there is a space in src's src:

https%3A%2F%2Fwww.my-domain.cz%2Fwebmail%2F%3F%2FRaw%2FView%2F4%2FnK7PjGYXe89OTaplkKYBR72pew6TAdR1r2veJ0f7Pau5GOGRNPTz9prj_SEMo3YhUYV2BiMC_4LuYoO jPNenTCUSjs-GDwMKluUmk-pxg3-_QUcTcG18TzMFvj87BS5LJhGvBcruzQwjw9lutE7cbyNqca2tU1tlaSgZRDpYua3g9nc8TgHF4-Untu3Rjbh-7QUlilJM4FCYY30q6JT65bcWjxIlOxNeQ7IQ5PIVbqmckU6YLptwTuKAZKUiOwNVJwzydCGDCHAoIeNObceNNkT[THERE IS SPACE HERE]xb827wuWWwQCutQ..%2F0

Do you really have it there or was it added when you put this value here? Because there should be no space in that URL.

Regards,
Alex

Okay, and does this URL work for you if you try opening it separately?

Just to clarify: you will need to copy the complete value from iframe src, open a new tab/window of the browser, paste that URL in there and see if the document opens.

ULRs themselves are of little use to us, all we can suggest is how to troubleshoot the problem - but, with free opensource product like WebMail Lite, the troubleshooting itself is your responsibility. There's always a chance to get help from the community, but that would require a detailed description of what you're doing, what kind of results you're getting, what kind of modifications in the code you performed, if any, etc.

If you'd like to request assistance from AfterLogic on this, please contact us via our HelpDesk for detailed information on assistance terms, pricing and so on. Thank you.
