Hi Alex,

I wonder, how mail2web.com let you check your mail, without asking for your mailserver details?

Thank you,
Itzik

For mail2web.com, "it depends". I tried a few my own email addresses on mail2web but only 1 of them worked. For others, I was prompted to use Advanced login option since Smart login failed.

However, we still plan to add Smart login option in the future (the corresponding POP3/SMTP server detection engine is already implemented). It just tries to get domain part of email address and use it as POP3 server name. If it fails, it also tries pop.<server_name>, mail.<server_name>, etc, and also tries MX server name. Sometimes, it works, but it won't work if mail server name is neither MX server name nor "easy-to-guess" server name. The same does mail2web.

Regards,
Alex

Hi.

After my email was successfully opened, is there a way that mail2web.com show my pop3 and smtp configuration? how?

You have to register on mail2web for this purpose (there will be Free signup link in the mailbox). Once created mail2web account, you will be able to add your mail account into your accounts list. Add your account email address/password again. Once the account is added, return to the accounts list, click Edit to select the specified maila account properties, and you'll find your mail server name there.

Regards,
Alex
