XMail Server Lite, a community edition of the commercial XMail Server Pro product, provides free e-mail server with a clean and easy-to-use webmail.


XMail Server Lite is based on XMail by Davide Libenzi. The improvements we brought to the community over the original XMail include modern AJAX webmail, installation wizards for Windows and Linux, web administration panel, Bayesian spam filter, DomainKeys support, multi-user access to a POP3 mailbox, and tons of bug fixes. The source code is licensed under GPLv2 and is available in the SVN repository on SourceForge and in Google Code.

Unlike many other open-source products, XMail Server Lite meets standards of commercial software in terms of stability, ease of installation and configuration.

The product comes with the user-friendly installation wizard, the web administration panel and the extensive documentation on the installation and usage issues.

Compatible

XMail Server Lite works on both Linux and Windows, and the web modules run on both major web platforms: ASP.NET and PHP.
