1.  Where can I read license agreements for your products?

2.  I'm going to distribute AfterLogic products as a part of my software. Which license type should I choose?

You need any of royalty free distribution licenses:
  • 1 Developer License
  • 4 Developer License
  • Unlimited Developer Site License
The difference between these licenses is the number of developers who may develop and maintain software powered by AfterLogic products.

Developer licenses for AfterLogic WebMail Pro and AfterLogic MailSuite Pro are not available at our web site. However, it's possible to get them in terms of a custom agreement. Please contact us if you're interested in this.

3.  Which limitations exist in the trial version of AfterLogic WebMail Pro?

The trial version of WebMail Pro will stop functioning after 30 days since the moment when the trial license key has been issued. It has no other limitations, such as the maximum number of users.

4.  Do you provide any discounts?

Discounts are awarded on a case by case basis. We're always interested in exploring and discussing various ways of establishing mutually beneficial relationships with our customers. Please read more about discounts or simply contact us. We'll be glad to hear from you.

5.  If I choose Single Computer license, am I allowed to install the product to a developer/test machine besides the production one?

Yes, you're allowed to install the product on any number of developer/test machines. Computer licenses limit number of production machines only.

6.  Is license upgrade possible? Can I upgrade, e.g. "Single Computer, 100 Users" license to "Single Computer, 1000 Users"?

Yes, you're able to upgrade your license just for the price difference. Moreover, upgrade between different license types (Computer, Developer, Hosting Provider) is also supported. Please contact us if you need to upgrade your license.

7.  Can I receive free upgrades for the product I purchased?

Purchasing any product of AfterLogic entitles you to 1 year of free maintenance of that product since the moment of purchase. The maintenance includes all major and minor updates released for that product during the year and the standard technical support.

The maintenance period can be prolonged on annual basis (50% software cost per year).

8.  What does "number of users" mean in your licensing system?

In case of AfterLogic WebMail Pro, number of users means number of persons allowed to log into your WebMail Pro installation. Each user may have unlimited number of linked e-mail accounts though. User account in WebMail Pro identifies a person, not an e-mail account. Users can link other e-mail accounts to their primary WebMail Pro accounts (Settings / Email Accounts / Add New Account) and send/receive messages through them.

For AfterLogic MailSuite Pro, number of users means number of e-mail accounts allowed to be created in your AfterLogic MailSuite Pro installation. E.g. "Single Computer, 1000 Users" license allows creating 1000 e-mail accounts hosted on your server. However, number of linked accounts in WebMail Pro (see above) is not limited, but it's assumed those linked accounts are hosted on external mail servers (e.g. Gmail).

9.  Comparison of Standard and Extended Support options

Standard support (available during the trial period and 1 year after purchase) can assist you with resolving common problems and answering questions regarding installation issues, functioning of AfterLogic products, licensing questions. Standard support inquires are resolved in the same order they arrive.

Benefits of Extended Support contract include:
  • lower response times (because such inquires are processed before any other inquires in the support queue)
  • assistance with resolving issues not necessarily connected to our products, like remote configuration of your server via RD or SSH connection, examining your code for finding reasons of unwanted behavior of AfterLogic software components, and so on

Note: Extended Support contract only covers typical using of the original versions of our products. All cases regarding modification of AfterLogic products or using their data from other applications (like modifying databases) should be addressed to our Professional Services team. This team can also assist you with data migration, custom software development, and seamless integration of AfterLogic products with your existing environment.
